Christos Grapas is a Postdoctoral Researcher, part of the A/S team at ETH Zurich's Department of Architecture (D-ARCH), conducting his research on the topic "15 Minutes of Mediated Daylight" under the Daylight Integration Nexus (DINx), supported by the Velux Stiftung. The project develops mediation strategies that shift thermal perception through daylight itself, aiming to make transitional spaces compelling enough to retain occupants for longer, allowing physiological adaptation to occur.
Before joining ETH Zurich, Christos completed his PhD "Human Perception in Outdoor and Transitional Spaces" as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie researcher at the University of Perugia's Environmental Applied Physics Laboratory, linking urban climate exposure to individual resilience through field studies in Rome and Brussels. He holds a degree in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, completed postgraduate studies at IAAC Barcelona, and previously worked as an architect at Coop Himmelb(l)au in Vienna.
