Teaching Assistant

Marvin joined the Chair in January 2026 as a scientific assistant, currently contributing to teaching activities and to the development of Studio Foundations, a new course for architecture students. Developed collaboratively across disciplines, the course frames architectural design as an integrated practice informed by multiple perspectives.
He studied architecture at ETH Zurich, completing both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and gained professional experience at Boltshauser Architekten, where he worked on projects focused on material-driven design and sustainable construction.
In parallel to his academic role, Marvin works part-time at an architectural office in Zurich contributing to projects that focus on adaptive reuse and building transformation. His broader interests lie in strategies for working with the existing built environment, particularly reuse, extension, and climate-responsive passive design.
