Congratulations to our colleague Linus Walker!

We are very proud of our former PhD researcher Linus Walker for successfully defending his Thesis on environmentally robust building retrofit decision-making!

Linus investigated how robust decision-making approaches can be applied to building energy renovations. In his work, he showed how to include future scenarios and demonstrated the impact of multiple modeling assumptions. Ultimately, he examined how different contextual parameters make different retrofit solutions perform robustly for multiple European locations.

During his PhD, Linus published two papers that you can find and read on the ETH Zurich Research Collection:

Does context matter? Robust building retrofit decision-making for decarbonization across Europe

The impact of modeling assumptions on retrofit decision-making for low-carbon buildings

We wish him all the best and a successful start in the new position at Wüest Partner.
