Reynold is the Software Engineer of the City Energy Analyst (CEA), an open-source urban building energy simulation platform for designing low-carbon and highly efficient cities. He holds a BSc in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London. During his career he has worked as a freelancer and, since 20109, he has been full-time on CEA. He has helped create the City Energy Analyst GUI application, which provides users with a graphical user interface to interact with the various scripts of the application without having to use the command line. He has also been part of the Cooling Singapore project at the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) where he helped develop the Digital Urban Climate Twin (DUCT) platform, which integrates computational models (environmental, land surface, industrial, traffic, building energy) and regional- and micro-scale climate models.
Currently, he is working on bringing CEA into the cloud, allowing users to run their simulations from their browsers, providing access to more powerful hardware. As well as integrating CEA into the Engagement Platform (EP) for Future Cities Lab (FCL) Global.
