Zero Carbon Buildings Lab under construction

The Zero Carbon Buildings Lab is currently under construction on ETH Zurich’s Hoenggerberg campus. The building will support us on our journey through the different stages of technology development in Architecture. It will provide the infrastructure for early proof-of-concept validation to system demonstration in a service environment for building systems and components. Focus areas are spanning from the building envelope (e.g. BIPV and adaptive facades) and internal building components (floor slab) to HVAC systems and control software as well as research on user acceptance and experience. The new lab building is scheduled to be completed in August 2021.
