Call for Abstracts: Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2025, at ETH Zurich
We are thrilled to announce the Call for Abstracts for the Sustainable Built Environment Conference under the title “Shaping Tomorrow: Systems Thinking in the Built Environment”. Join us at ETH Zurich from June 25–27, 2025, as we explore transformative approaches to shaping sustainable, resilient built environments. This event is proudly hosted by ETH Zurich in partnership with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Universität Liechtenstein, and Technische Universität Graz.
We invite submissions that highlight:
Interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral solutions
Multifunctional, multiscale, multidomain approaches
Engagement of multiple stakeholders in sustainability initiatives within the built environment
Important Dates:
Abstract submission deadline: October 31, 2024
Full paper submission deadline (for accepted abstracts): January 31, 2025
Conference Overview:
The built environment accounts for over 40% of global emissions and resource consumption. Embracing systems thinking is critical to achieving climate neutrality and circularity by balancing the diverse trade-offs across functions, scales, and sectors.
